| REDFISH LAKE |
A couple of months ago, on a Sunday afternoon while everyone was home for Sunday dinner, my outdoor adventure sons decided that they needed to plan a backpacking trip. They invited their Dad to join them and the plans started to come together. As things evolved, it was decided that they would like to hike into the Sawtooth mountains in Idaho, up above Stanley, Idaho. The trailhead started on the shore of Redfish lake which you needed a boat ride across the Lake to get to it. (Or a 5 mile hike around the lake) In the planning it was discovered that My sister, Ann and her family were going to be camping there that exact weekend. Plans were put into place and they made arrangements for Doug, to take them across the lake to the trailhead. I then discovered that they had an extra camping spot and thought it would be fun to go and spend that time up there with them. However, as it worked out I just ended up staying with Ann and Doug in their trailer, which was wonderful. They were so good to me and I loved spending that time with my sister and her family. It was a much needed vacation for me. I can't thank them all enough for everything.
We arrived on Thursday afternoon, after a 5 hour drive to get there. They were waiting for us on the beach of the lake and so after having a sandwich with them, the guys loaded into the boat and Doug headed for the back side of the lake to drop them off at the trailhead.

I spent the week soaking up the sun on the beach, riding in the boat, bike rides in the evenings, Ice cream cone runs to the lodge, playing games, and EATING. Ann and Doug feed me well! We also did a little hiking too. Ann, Scott, Rod, Stephanie, and I took the boat across the Lake and hiked into a pretty waterfall and lily pond covered lake. It was beautiful!

On Sunday, the guys returned from their backpacking tired but happy from a great weekend in the high mountains. Doug took the boat back over and picked them up.
After a delicious lunch of Barbecued ribs we headed home.
It was a great weekend!

We were the lucky ones to get to spend time with you. You have always let us stay at the Morton Motel and it was fun to get to host you for a change. We loved having you there with us. Now I've just got to get my blog updated.
looka like you had a great time, im thinking we need to ck out red fish lake, i have quite a few friends that i know of that love to go there and it looks so beautiful!!!
