Halloween fun with the GRANDKIDS!

This year I decided that I would start a new Halloween tradition. I planned a Halloween party for my grandchildren on Thursday, the day before Halloween. I wanted to be able to enjoy them in their Halloween costumes and also allow them to enjoy being with each other and seeing everyone all dressed up. It always seems to be a challenge to get it all in on one night. I felt the party was a success! We had soooooo much fun that I think I will try it again next year.

Our party consisted of games, games, games, stories, a fish pond (thanks Tiff for being a great help with this), games, prizes, a movie and food. There was also a surprise visitor. Karen and Harold, some dear friends came and the kids were able to Treak or Treat them too.

For dinner, everyone was able to make their own individual pizza just how they wanted it. They ranged from plain cheese to Scott's everything but the kitchen sink masterpiece. What Halloween dinner would not be complete without a little witches brew to wash it down with too! (homemade rootbeer) For dessert we had Orange sherbet, which we were able to decorate like pumpkins and Rice Krispie treats (Thanks Annie)

Before leaving the kids put on their Halloween jammies that Grandma and Grandpa had given them. I think their faces show that we had a great time to the end!

As they all were leaving, Polly put her arms around my neck and said "Grandma, Can we play one more game?
